Spiderman 3
Whats it about:
To those unfamiliar with the franchise the 3 in the title is a dead giveaway. So you can probably take a wild guess that this is some sort of sequel. Anyhow this time round there is not one, not two but three problems that confront our hero. They come in the form of Venom, Hobgoblin and the Sandman.
You’ll remember this bit:
Every fight scene was a spectacular set piece with the next villain spoiling for a fight. There are some jaw dropping arial sequences that initially dazzle but on closer inspection like somebody, who is startled by the appearance of their dance partner when the lights suddenly get turned on, you to will be thinking…”damn that looks so busted.”
Is it any good
Yes it is but it’s not without its flaws. overly bloated in places this third outing seems to like the number 3. Three times as long as it needs to be at close two three hours long this like your xmas turkey needed some trimming.
Three villains more than there needed to be as the best baddie of the bunch is Peter Parker himself. Whilst they presented the ideal opportunity for a mega payday for the special efx guys I felt perhaps they were superfluous as Parkers worst enemy was his growing pride, anger and selfishness.
